Happy Thanksgiving from the MZone!

Thanks to all who take a few minutes of their day to check out the site.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

And even on this holiday -- with The Game so close you can taste it like the meal you're stuffing your face with today -- we're not going to leave you hanging.  Below are some of the lesser known works by Norman Rockwell that the MZone recently discovered in the archives.

Enjoy and...

Go Blue!

A very special thanks to Rigby for staying up waaaaay late to do these for today.

Nobody Puts Denard in a Corner

Now playing at the MZone Theater.

ED. NOTE: I know, I know. But after seeing Andy's Wallpaper and this pic numerous times, I couldn't resist the funny.  Just be thankful I couldn't find the actual clip of the above or instead of this 'Shop, you'd be watching an MZone video to this song.

U-M/ND game was "Under the Lights," Miami/OSU is "Under Investigation"

(from MZone wire reports)  Coral Gables, FL -- After the success of the Michigan-Notre Dame game being marketed as "Under the Lights" to mark the first night game in Big House history, school officials at Miami and Ohio State have decided to rename their upcoming game "Under Investigation" in a nod to both schools' ongoing problems with the NCAA.

"It's branding at its best," said Ohio State athletic director and Jim Tressel apologist, Gene Smith.  "The Michigan and Notre Dame contest had a logo and commemorative shirts.  We wanted to do the same thing for our game.  I just hope each team has enough eligible players to actually play the damn thing."

Miami AD Shawn Eichorst couldn't be reached for comment as head was apparently still buried in the sand somewhere near South Beach.

In an online exclusive, MZone investigative reporter Rigby has secretly obtained the new logos to be used for this once in a life-time showdown (because Miami just may get the death penalty):

MZone Sneak Peek: ANGER MANAGEMENT ...starring Brian Kelly

The MZone has been talking about Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly's anger issues for a long time.  Last season, we were the ones who broke the story of Kelly chewing out Touchdown Jesus.

And things have only gotten worse.

In Notre Dame's opening home loss against USF last Saturday, Kelly was again at his curse-like-a-sailor best.   TV cameras caught him going ballistic on the sidelines several times.  The outbursts were so bad, some are now starting to ask if he's too angry to be Notre Dame's coach.

But while the National Catholic Register has a problem with Kelly's salty language, Hollywood does not.

In an MZone exclusive, we've obtained a teaser trailer of Kelly's starring turn in a remake of the Adam Sandler/Jack Nicholson movie, ANGER MANAGEMENT.  Be warned that the clip contains language - just like the Notre Dame sidelines - which may be unsuitable for kids who didn't grow up grow up with a father who was a Marine drill instructor suffering from Tourette's Syndrome.

UPDATE:

The MZone has learned that initial test screenings of the Anger Management remake are going so well, Kelly is busy at work on a sequel to the classic horror movie, SCANNERS.

MZone Children's Books presents...

I originally put this up yesterday at the end of the WMU post-game report.  However, I think this gem by Rigby deserves it's own post.

MZone Art History: Mona Lisa After One Semester at Ohio State

The MZone isn't just about crass, low-brow humor. Far from it. We also seek to enlighten. Case in point, the inaugural edition today of a new feature we like to call MZone Art History.

Enjoy. Learn. Laugh.

Frowning Girl

Okay I admit it: the reason I have been lax in posting of late here on the MZone is because I've been so excited, so crazy with anticipation, so obsessed, with the Royal Wedding, that I haven't been able focus on the MZone until the joyous, blessed, event was over

So as I watched, live, naturally - a bowl of popcorn and my 16 cats named after other British royalty at my side - I, along with the rest of the world, couldn't help but notice the "frowning girl" on the balcony next to the future King and Queen as they shared their first kiss.

According to Yahoo, she's "Prince William's goodaughter 3-year-old Grace van Cutsem, who was one of the official bridesmaids (there are no "flower girl" roles in traditional British weddings, so children are often included as bridesmaids or pages)."  Apparently, Little Grace was also pouting for part of the carriage ride due to the noise of the crowd.

But as I watched and, yes, wiped the tears from my eyes, I realized this wasn't the first time I'd seen her.  So I did a little sleuthing and, lo and behold, I figured out where I'd seen her expressing her displeasure at other events.

As you can see below, Frowning Girl couldn't listen to Jim Tressel's bullshit, either.

And Grace wasn't pleased with UMD's OT victory over UM in the NCAA Hockey Championship.

Mystery solved.

Let us know if you've seen her anywhere else.
